Why this exists

The expensive part is not the code.

You know exactly what you want it to do. Getting that out of your head and into something a developer can price is where most ideas stall, and where most of the money goes.

You cannot describe it yet

You can say what it should do. Turning that into screens, rules and edge cases is a different job, and it is the one nobody teaches you.

Every quote comes back different

Three developers, three prices, three versions of what they think you asked for. None of them are lying. Nobody wrote it down.

You pay to be told what you want

Discovery calls, workshops, scoping retainers. Weeks and thousands of dollars before a single screen exists.

How it works

Three steps. Stop after any of them.

  1. 01

    See if it exists

Describe it in plain words. We show you what already does this, open source and commercial, with links and a note on what you are free to reuse.

  2. 02

    Get the plan

Three to six questions about the parts that change the build, then we write the plan around your answers. Skip any you are unsure about and they become open questions in it.

  3. 03

    Have it built

Optional. Book a paid call, we scope it and quote it. The plan is yours to take anywhere either way.

What the $21 buys

A plan you own, not a sales call.

A written plan for one idea

In plain English, not developer shorthand. You can read it and know whether it is right.

Every screen, and what it does

Including what happens when things go wrong, which is the part quotes always miss.

A written list of what finished means

Testable checks. You can hold any developer to them.

Yours, either way

Take it to anyone. We do not hold it hostage and there is nothing to cancel.

This is not for everything.

One idea, doing one main job, the kind of thing one person could describe in five minutes. A booking page. A stock tracker for one warehouse. An internal tool that replaces one spreadsheet. If yours is bigger than that, we will tell you before you pay rather than write you half a plan.

Questions

Questions people ask before they pay.

I have an idea but I cannot code. Is this for me?

That is exactly who it is for. You describe it in your own words. We do the writing.

Do you build it for me?

No. We write the plan. Building is yours to arrange, with whoever you like.

How long does the plan take?

Usually a few minutes. If it takes longer we say so on the screen, and we email you the moment it is ready.

What if my idea is too big?

We tell you it is too big rather than write you half a plan, and we do not take it on. Read the size guide before you pay.

Describe the thing you wish existed.

Ten minutes now, instead of three quotes that do not match.
